Deflected Reflection

Deflected Reflection

You were so good.
 Excellent, in fact.
Painting your insecurities, self doubt and wrong doings onto my canvas.
Leaving skillfully, intricate paint strokes, that of a master.
The picture being painted held the abyss of your inner reflection, you opportunistically deflected onto me.
 Tarnishing my soul.
Me scraping and scrubbing at those stains till my finger tips blistered and bled.
I had to rid myself of your toxic hold on me, I so foolishly confused with being love.
For I only have this one canvas to flourish my masterpiece.
